design your own art project

Artist statement: I chose to design a concept car for my design your own art project. I chose to do this because I have always had an interest in motor vehicles. I decided to make a hybrid for those people who are not able to decide between a sporty car and a useful, four door hatchback. I took the basic design from two select vehicles made by Chevy. They were the Camaro and the Suburban. I decided that the best engine for it would be the engine that comes stock with a Chevy Tahoe which with the given weight of the car and HP of the engine will make about 20 Mpg.

logo project
In the logo project, we were set loose with almost no guidelines and had to make a logo for ourselves. This was fun except for the very beginning when I had almost no idea what I was going to do. During the project I learned to just let it flow until the logo looked good to me. It didn't matter about if I was taking off someone else's ideas a little or if I was just winging it, which is what i ended up doing after looking for inspiration in some other logos and not finding any. I think I enjoyed this project because what I walked away with at the end of it was that I knew that I was a much more creative person than I thought I was.
